Built to Improve Awareness, Speed Response, and Help Save Lives.

EMB Military presents a connected battlefield concept built around a smart intelligent visor helmet, live combatant awareness, threat alerting, medic notification, and command-level visibility.

Patent 3 A Landmine, UEO, or IED detection and destruction system

This is a detection-to-warning-to-response system designed to help stop people moving blindly into danger.

Description

This invention relates to military equipment. In particular, it concerns a landmine, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive device (IED) detection and destruction system that utilises Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology to detect, locate, and guide a ballistic weapon to destroy a landmine, UXO, or IED. The location of a detected landmine, UXO, or IED can be visually communicated to personnel operating within the vicinity and potentially endangered by the device through smart helmets or headgear worn by the Combatant.

In a broad aspect, the invention resides in a landmine, UXO, or IED detection and destruction system comprising:

  • A terrestrial Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system specially adapted to detect and locate landmines, UXO, or IEDs buried beneath the ground.
  • A guided ballistic weapon adapted to fire a projectile capable of destroying a detected landmine, UXO, or IED.
  • A wireless communications transceiver adapted to transmit the location of a detected landmine, UXO, or IED to a central command computer, ADF personnel helmets operating within the area, and ADF vehicles, aircraft, and vessels.
  • A central command computer adapted to communicate the location of a detected landmine, UXO, or IED to personnel operating within the vicinity through a wireless telecommunications protocol. Communication is facilitated through transceivers incorporated within EMB Military helmets worn by Combatants.
  • A GPR system adapted to detect landmines and transmit warning notifications via a microprocessor controller to military personnel, helmets, and vehicles operating on the battlefield within a radius of 10 metres of a walking or running Combatant.
  • In one embodiment, the GPR system is associated with a remotely controlled unmanned armoured vehicle equipped with a guided ballistic weapon.
  • In a further embodiment, the GPR system is associated with a tank, and the guided ballistic weapon comprises the tank’s main cannon.
  • In another embodiment, the guided ballistic weapon can be carried by a soldier, typically a squad or platoon leader positioned at the front of a formation. The weapon may comprise a portable rocket launcher commonly referred to as a bazooka or stovepipe launcher.
  • In most applications, the central command computer is located at a base camp or headquarters.
  • In alternative applications, the central command computer may be located within an armoured vehicle, aircraft, drone, or tank.
  • The wireless telecommunications protocol preferably utilises 5G technology or an equivalent wireless personal area network.
  • EMB Military helmets incorporate heads-up display visors that visually display the location of detected landmines, UXO, or IEDs through messages and warning notifications transmitted from GPR detection devices to the central command computer and subsequently distributed to military personnel, vehicles, aircraft, and vessels.

The system is intended to improve battlefield safety, situational awareness, and operational effectiveness by providing rapid detection, location, communication, and neutralisation of explosive hazards.

    Broader Defence Relevance

    Integrated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance

Shared operational visibility, role-based awareness, and connected battlefield data access.

    Medical Countermeasure Products

Physiological Monitoring. A microprocessor designed to monitor the combatant’s condition (ECG and EEG) and if a combatant has been shot, a sensor will activate a tourniquet the limb to stop the bleeding. Sensors to detect radiation and chemical warning support and provide oxygen if required. This is the faster casualty visibility.

    Enhanced Human Performance

Supports resilience and battlefield interpretation through targeted information delivery.

    Materials and Protection

EMB Military’s helmet system is a modular AI-powered, augmented reality (AR) Smart Intelligence visor integrated into tactical helmets to provide real-time, 360-degree battlefield situational awareness. Not only will the system consisting of four patents will make the operation a success but will more importantly save countless lives.

    Quantum, Trusted Autonomy and Cyber

Positions the platform around future secure communications, autonomous support, and broader sensor-driven coordination.

    ABOUT EMB MILITARY

    One Mission: Help Save Lives

The EMB concept is built as a modular AI-powered, augmented reality (AR) visor integrated into tactical helmets and is not a single product (FOUR Patents to this system) It links Combatant awareness, visor-based information, warning pathways, medic notification, command visibility, and supporting battlefield technologies into one operational framework.
